Recording Area

The Hope Valley Bird Watchers Club recording area is bounded by:

Ashopton viaduct in the north
Calver Bridge in the south
Gritstone edges from Bamford along Stanage Edge (from Dennis Knoll track), through Burbage and Froggatt to Curbar
Western end of Edale in the west

The area includes the following villages: Edale, Castleton, Hope, Bradwell, Aston, Thornhill, Brough, Bamford, Hathersage, Grindleford, Nether Padley, Froggatt, Calver, Curbar, Stoney Middleton, Eyam, Bretton and Abney.
